professionally and academically.

We encourage the submission of original contributions, investigating how
Recommender Systems can contribute to a more sustainable and responsible

Digital games have become one of the most influential forms of
entertainment and interactive media, extending their impact beyond leisure
into education, health, behavior change, and more. Artificial Intelligence
(AI) is playing an increasingly vital role in shaping these experiences,
enabling adaptive gameplay, dynamic content generation, and the creation of
intelligent non-player characters. AI not only enhances player immersion
but also expands the possibilities for storytelling, accessibility, and
personalized experiences.
The AI4HGI workshop aims to explore the evolving role of AI in human-game
interaction by addressing key research questions, including:

* How can AI systems balance computational efficiency with the complexity
of game interactions?

IFIP-ICTSS is a well-established conference where researchers, developers, testers, and users
from industry get together to present and discuss the most recent innovations, experiences
and open challenges related to testing software and systems and measuring software quality.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
â– AI for Software Testing and Testing of AI: the growing interest in the use of AI has also
spread in to various aspects of software testing. In addition, work is underway to test and
validate AI systems/applications (machine learning, expert systems, neural networks).
â– Aspects of testing: test derivation, test selection, test generation, test coverage, test
concretization, test implementation and execution, test result analysis, test oracle, verdict
computation, test management, active testing and passive testing, monitoring and runtime

â– Testing new technologies: this year we encourage submissions focused on testing Large

tooling for model-based testing: test generation from models, model-based oracles.
Scalability, traceability, quantification issues. Automated support of any parts of the testing
activities, testing processes, test-driven development, sound metrics and measurements.
â– Testing of quality aspects: Functional, interoperability, unit, integration, performance, load,
conformance, non-regression, reliability, robustness.
â– Security Testing: methodologies and techniques for continuous security assessment, security

IFIP-ICTSS Invites:
Full papers (12 to 15 pages plus at most 2 extra pages for references in the one-column
Springer LNCS format) describing original research contributions with sufficient evidence for
the interest of the proposed approach.
Industry papers (12 to 15 pages plus at most 2 extra pages for references in the one-column
Springer LNCS format) describing original research or experience report conducted within an
industrial environment or in collaboration with an industry partner.
Short papers or work-in-progress papers (up to 6 pages plus at most 1 extra page for
references in the one-column Springer LNCS format) describing academic work in progress or
tool implementations, as well as testing processes, achievements and feedback on testing
methods for industrial case studies.
Journal-First. The aim of the Journal-First (JF) submission category is to further enrich the
program of ICTSS, as well as to provide an overall more flexible path to publication and
dissemination of original research that is within the scope of ICTSS. A submission in this
category must adhere to the following criteria:
â– It should be clearly within the scope of the conference.
â– It should be recent: it should have been accepted and made publicly available in a journal
(online or in print) by January 1, 2023 or more recently.
â– It has not been presented at, and is not under consideration for, Journal- First tracks of other
conferences or workshops.
â– The submission has to be in the form of a 4-page extended abstract and has to provide a
concise summary of the published journal paper.
■It must be marked as such in the submission’s, and must explicitly include full bibliographic
details (including a DOI) of the journal publication they are based on. Since the referenced
journal papers have already been reviewed and accepted by the corresponding journals,
submissions in the JF category will not be reviewed again for technical content. Submissions will
be judged on the basis of the above criteria, but also considering how well they would

The rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming the
way humans interact with technology. The integration of AI in our daily
lives can provide substantial support in many contexts, ranging from
medicine to education, improving the performance of both sides in terms of
knowledge and resources. Although the traditional approach in creating AI
systems focuses on the functionalities and high performance of their
models, modern society is witnessing a shift from mere automation to
augmentation and collaboration, where AI and humans enhance and learn from
each other. A step forward in this direction is enabling humans and AI to
work symbiotically together. Symbiosis can be described as a consequence of
the human-AI partnership, where human intelligence serves to improve AI
systems, and vice versa, through a bidirectional relationship of mutual
exchange.

discussions and the exchange of perspectives, the workshop has the goal of
investigating the key components of the interaction between the two
parties. Participants will gain deeper insights into the implications of
integrating AI into various aspects of daily life, facilitating
problem-solving activities such as learning, decision-making, and
co-creation.
*Topics*
The topics that will be addressed in the workshop are the following:
- The impact of a symbiotic human-AI relationship in collaborative
environments.
- Human-Computer Interaction methodologies and techniques to foster
symbiosis between humans and AI.
- Using AI in human learning processes to assist humans cognitively.
- Using AI for education and skill development.
- Methodologies and techniques for transferring knowledge between humans
and AI through feedback mechanisms.
- Ethical considerations in human-AI collaborative environments (bias
mitigation, fairness, non-discrimination, etc).
- AI adaptability for personalized interaction experiences based on
individuals' requirements.
- The role of trustworthiness in human-AI collaboration for critical
activities.
- Design and evaluation of systems that foster and support human-AI
collaboration.
- Case studies of AI in real-world applications (medicine, healthcare,
education, etc).

We accept two types of submissions:
- *Full paper*: at least 10 "standard" pages* and an appropriate number
of references.
- *Short paper*: between 5-9 "standard" pages*.
*(1 standard page = 2500 characters)
Each submission will be subjected to a single-blind peer review process,
and two reviewers from the Program Committee (PC) will assess each
contribution in terms of relevance to the workshop’s topics and its
quality.

The Short Papers track at the “Mensch und Computer” (MuC) conference is
looking for ACs (Associate Chairs). Please consider applying using the

Associate Chairs are key to coordinating the reviewing process and
ensuring the rigor and quality of published MuC research. Volunteering
to serve as an AC holds distinct potential to shape the future of our
field.
We believe that the Short Papers track provides particular opportunities
for junior peers in our research community to gain some experience in
managing the peer reviewing process. Hence, we invite motivated PhD
students and early-career researchers with first reviewing experience to
volunteer as ACs. If you can think of any students or colleagues who
might benefit from this opportunity, please consider forwarding this
invitation to them.
As an AC, you would:
* lead the review process for 3-5 short papers (max. 6 pages)
* assign two external reviewers to each paper
* moderate a discussion between the reviewers
* provide a meta-review including a recommendation for the paper
Everything to do with the reviewing process will be done virtually in
the time period from early June until early July. This is the timeline
for AC tasks in the Short Papers:
* 10.6.2025 – short papers submission deadline, submissions are
distributed among ACs, recruitment of external reviewers
* 25.6.2025 – external reviews due, discussions open
* 2.7.2025 – meta-review due
