The theme for this year will be Resilience, covering a wide variety of topics, such as COVID-19 recovery, organizational cyber resilience, economic growth and stability, climate change recovery, intelligent user interface resilience, and similar. While we encourage submissions related to this theme, the scope of the conference is not limited to the theme only.

ACM Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces (ACM IUI) 2024 is the 29th annual premiere venue, where researchers and practitioners will meet and discuss state-of-the-art advances at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Ideal IUI submissions should address practical HCI challenges using machine intelligence and discuss both computational and human-centric aspects of such methodologies, techniques, and systems. We welcome contributions from related fields such as psychology, behavioral science, cognitive science, computer graphics, design, the arts, and more. Our focus is to improve the interaction between humans and machines, by leveraging both HCI approaches and state-of-the-art AI techniques from machine learning, natural language processing, data mining, knowledge representation and reasoning. ACM IUI welcomes contributions from all relevant arenas, academia, industry, government, and non-profit organizations, and gives its participants the opportunity to present and see cutting-edge IUI work in a focused and interactive setting.
**Posters**
Posters provide an opportunity for sharing valuable last-minute ideas, eliciting useful feedback on early-stage work and fostering discussions and collaborations among colleagues. We invite submissions relevant to all conference topics. All submissions should convey a scientific result or work in progress that is not yet ready to be published as a full-length research paper at a refereed conference.
The page limit for poster papers is 7 pages (references do not count toward the page limit). Submitting a draft poster along with your submission is not required but is recommended. Accepted poster papers will appear in the companion proceedings of the conference. Each accepted contribution is expected to be presented in person.
**Demos**
The demonstration track complements the overall program of the conference. Demonstrations show implementations of novel, interesting, and important intelligent user interface concepts or systems. We invite submissions relevant to intelligent user interfaces and which address, but are not limited to, the topics of the conference. All submissions are intended to convey a scientific result or work in progress and should not be advertisements for commercial software packages.
The page limit for demo papers is 4 pages (references do not count toward the page limit). Authors further need to submit a video (max. 5 mins) along with their demo paper to showcase their work. Accepted demo papers will be presented as interactive demonstrations at IUI and published in the companion proceedings of the conference. Each accepted contribution is expected to be presented in person.
Authors who submitted a long or short research paper are welcome to also propose a demo of their work to exemplify their work at the conference.

CAiSE'24 invites proposals for tutorials on advanced topics in the field of Information Systems
Engineering. Tutorials should aim at offering new insights, knowledge, and skills to
professionals, educators, researchers, and students seeking to gain a better understanding
either about methods of broad interest in the field, or emergent paradigms that are ripe for
practical adoption or that require further research to reach maturity.
Proposals emphasizing the special theme of the CAISE'24 conference “Information Systems in
the Age of Artificial Intelligence” are encouraged, but proposals on other new or long-standing
topics in information systems engineering are also welcome.
Tutorials should be focused on principles, concepts, and methods. Commercial or
sales-oriented presentations are not allowed and will not be accepted.
Tutorials are intended to provide a pedagogic introduction to or overview of a topic of
relevance. Potential presenters should keep in mind that there may be a heterogeneous
audience, including novice graduate students, experienced practitioners, and specialized
researchers. Tutorial speakers should be prepared to cope with this diversity in the audience.
Tutorials will be 90 minutes long and organized in parallel with the technical sessions of the
main conference and participants of the conference will have free access to all of them.
Potential proposers are free to contact the tutorial chairs via e-mail to validate their idea prior
to the submission.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The tutorial chairs will review each proposal and select a subset of them based on the
following criteria:
1. relevance to the field of IS engineering;
2. anticipated appeal to the conference audience;
3. timeliness and importance for the conference audience;
4. past experience and qualifications of the instructor(s).
The tutorial chairs will also consider the complementarity of the proposal w.r.t. the conference
program and other tutorial proposals.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Tutorial proposals should be submitted to Easy Chair using the conference submission site
(https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=caise2024) and then selecting the “CAiSE 2024
Tutorials” track.
The proposal (length up to 1500 words) should cover the following points:
• Title
• Presenters and affiliation
• Goal: The overall goal of the tutorial.
• Scope: Intended audience, level (basic or advanced), and prerequisites.
• Topic relevance and novelty: Specifically indicate the relevance to the scope of CAiSE,
the relevance to practice, the novel aspects that would make this tutorial beneficiary and
appealing to CAiSE participants.
• Structure of contents: Here you should provide a structured overview of your planned
tutorial, organized into numbered sections and subsections. For each subsection, you
should sketch its contents in a few sentences or bullet points.
• References: Provide references to papers, books, etc. that your tutorial builds on. Please
specify previous venues at which similar tutorials have been presented by you and
indicate the difference between the proposed tutorial and previous ones. CAiSE usually
does not accept tutorials that have been presented in other venues.
• Sample Slides: Include at least 5 sample slides of the presentation you plan to give if
your tutorial is accepted. Select slides that are typical of your presentation style. These
slides have to be submitted in a separate PDF file.
Services provided to tutorialists
• A 2-page tutorial abstract will be published in the CAiSE LNCS proceedings
• Tutorials will benefit from the local organizational infrastructure (registration, badges,
refreshments, beamers, screens, etc.).
• Advertisement of the tutorial on CAISE 2024 homepage and mailings.
• The conference fee will be waived for tutorial presenters (one fee per tutorial).

International Conference on Advanced Visual Interfaces (AVI)
Since 1992, AVI has been a biennial appointment for a vast international community of experts with a broad range of backgrounds. Throughout three decades, the Conference has attracted leading researchers of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from all over the world, offering a forum to present and disseminate new technological results, paradigms, and visions for HCI and user interfaces.
Thanks to advances in technology and new possibilities for user interaction, AVI has broadened the topics it covers, still keeping its primary focus on the conception, design, implementation, and evaluation of novel visual interfaces.
While rooted in Italy, AVI is an actual international conference concerning the nationality of participants, authors of papers, and program committee members. LONG AND SHORT RESEARCH PAPERS
We solicit high-quality original research papers in the area of advanced visual interfaces and Human-Computer Interaction in general. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by an international panel of experts.
Long and Short papers are publications that address AVI 2024 topics and describe original, unpublished research. Submissions must be anonymized.
The maximum length of long papers is 8 pages (with one additional page for references).
The maximum length of short papers is 4 pages (with one additional page for references).
SUBMISSION FORMAT
All the papers require online submission. Authors must format submissions according to the ACM SIGCONF template. Please find the templates below:

Long and short papers must be anonymized, removing information (such as authorship, acknowledgments, name of an application, or software, or project) that can suggest the authors' identity. Citation to authors' previous work should not be anonymous and should be in third person in the text, e.g., "As described by [10]" and not "As described in our previous work [10]".

Authors are required to send a 250-word abstract by the abstract deadline, one week before final submission, to speed up the paper assignment to reviewers.
PROCEEDINGS
Since 1994, accepted long and short research papers are included in the Proceedings published by ACM Press and available in the ACM Digital Library.
For each accepted paper, at least one author must register to AVI 2024 by the early registration deadline for authors and present the paper at the Conference.

*CFP for the 1st Workshop on Information Retrieval for Understudied Users
(IR4U2)*
Please join us at IR4U2, co-located with the 46th European Conference on
Information Retrieval (ECIR), which will take place 24th-28th March 2024 in
Glasgow, Scotland
Information Retrieval (IR) remains an active, fast-paced area of research.
Nevertheless, most advancements in this domain have primarily favored what
we might term 'conventional' users, such as English-speaking adults.
We envision IR4U2 as a forum to spotlight efforts that, while sparse,
consider diverse, and often understudied, user groups when designing,
developing, assessing, and deploying the IR technologies that directly
impact them.
Among these groups, we find, for example, older adults, young children and
adolescents, individuals afflicted by mental health disorders, users with
autism spectrum disorder (ASD), individuals with intellectual disabilities,
or those with specific learning needs.
We aim to
1.
Raise awareness about ongoing efforts focused on IR technologies
designed for and used by often understudied user groups;
2.
Identify challenges and open issues impacting this area of research;
3.
Ignite discussions to identify common frameworks for future research;
4.
Outline a general approach to facilitate research endeavors driven by
and at the service of specific user groups.
5.
Cross-fertilization and community-building by sharing lessons learned
gathered from research catering to different audiences by researchers and
(industry) practitioners across various disciplines.
IR4U2 will be a highly participatory, full-day, in-person workshop. This
will involve informal interactions, facilitated group work, and brief
presentations of accepted contributions. These contributions will help
construct a snapshot of the current works in this area.
Topics of interest include:

User modeling to enable IR and recommendation technologies tailored to
understudied populations.
-
Data collection and benchmark development of IR catering to understudied
populations.
-
IR applications targeting understudied populations.
-
UI/UX for search, recommender, and question-answering systems for
understudied populations.
-
IR-related technology (clustering, classification, text processing, text
complexity) and their impact on understudied populations.
-
Different perspectives of evaluation.
-
Design of the user interaction with IR systems.
-
Ethical issues associated with IR technologies for understudied users;
e.g., their right to be represented, acknowledged, have access, and be
served by existing and to-be-developed systems.
This is not an exhaustive list, as we are also interested in contributions
discussing challenges inherent to designing IR technology at the service of
understudied user groups–from the need for multidisciplinary,
multi-stakeholder collaborations to how to build datasets.
Submissions:
Peer-reviewed contributions. These include research papers presenting
empirical explorations, user studies, and/or new algorithms related to the
open problems listed in topics of interest, as well as position/vision
contributions discussing uses cases, challenges, and future research
directions. These contributions should be submitted on EasyChair (
https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=ir4u2) at least 4 pages, but up to
12 (excluding references) formatted in CEURART’s single-column template.
Accepted contributions will be presented at the workshop and published in
workshop proceedings.
Editorially-reviewed contributions. To enable potential attendees to
articulate their views on the topics of the workshop, share
already-published works, bring awareness to ongoing European projects in
this area, etc., we ask the submission of a short extended abstract. This
type of informal submission (via this form:

will be editorially
reviewed by workshop organizers to gauge fit as well as themes of interest
for group discussions. Accepted contributions will be presented at the

*Submissions and Reviewing Process*
All submissions will be peer-reviewed for their topical relevance, originality,
technical contribution, and presentation quality by the members of the
international program committee.
Technical full papers and late-breaking results short papers will be reviewed
*double-blind*; demonstrations, posters and Discussion Forum submissions
*single-blind*. Authors must prepare their submission files accordingly!
For poster and Discussion Forum submissions, both paper and poster design draft
will be assessed for review.
It will be possible for the program committee to suggest accepting submissions
in other than their original submission categories.

The International Conference on Software and Systems Reuse (ICSR) is a biannual conference
in the field of software reuse research and technology. ICSR is a premier event aiming to
present the most recent advances and breakthroughs in the area of software reuse and to
promote an intensive and continuous exchange among researchers and practitioners.
The guiding theme of this edition is Sustainable Software Reuse.
We invite submissions on new and innovative research results and industrial experience

We welcome research (16 pages) and industry papers (12 pages) following the Springer
Lecture Notes in Computer Science format. Submissions will be handled via
EasyChair (https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=icsr2024). Submissions will be
**double-blindly** reviewed, meaning that authors should:
• Omit all authors’ names and affiliations from the title page
• Do not include the acknowledgement section, if you have any, in the submitted paper
• Refer to your own work in the third person
• Use anonymous GitHub, Zenondo, FigShare or equivalent to provide access to artefacts
without disclosing your identity
Both research and industry papers will be reviewed by members of the same program
committee (check the website for details). Proceedings will be published by Springer in
their Lecture Notes for Computer Science (LNCS) series. An award will be given to the best
research and the best industry papers.
The authors of selected papers from the conference will be invited to submit an extended
version (containing at least 30% new material) to a special issue in the Journal of Systems and
Software (Elsevier). More details will follow.
