Oggetto: TOCHI's Distinguished Reviewer Board: Please help spread the word
Dear all
I am sorry for spamming you but we have just launched the call for a Distinguished
Reviewer Board for TOCHI, hopefully it will help solve some of the problems we experience
in recruiting reviewers in a way that is integrated with manuscript central.
The call is out and the direct link to the application form is
https://forms.gle/zUURm49M6XZxoEEL8. There is social media posts about this at
https://www.linkedin.com/posts/khornbaek_applications-for-acm-tochi-disting…
(LinkedIn),
https://x.com/khornbaek/status/1981737839235666392 (X), and
https://bsky.app/profile/khornbaek.bsky.social/post/3m3x5mvs5oc2y (bluesky). Please help
share them and boost them, or post your own version.
Sending the general call below to people at the postdoc and assistant professor level who
do not regularly review for TOCHI is also helpful (you may also write a more motivating
text and just share the link).
The goal of TOCHI´s distinguished reviewer program is to make it easier for associate
editors (AEs) to find qualified reviewers and to encourage new people to review for TOCHI.
In essence, the program allows reviewers to commit to reviewing for a two-year period (5
papers per year); they will get some training in reviewing as well as their name listed on
a web site. Detail about the program and a form to apply can be found at
https://forms.gle/rRoV5CYxtmjPwiNs9
You will get one reminder about this in a couple of weeks when the outreach editors resend
this from TOCHI’s official channels.
Thanks so much, Kasper
