Poster submissions must be up to 2 pages (with one additional page for references), not anonymized. DEMO PAPERS The demo track is intended to provide a forum to showcase innovative implementations, systems and technologies demonstrating new ideas about interactive visual interfaces. We are looking for implementations of novel and exciting concepts or systems related to the main topics of AVI. We are especially keen to welcome innovative demonstrations from industry and startups that are closely aligned with the conference core themes. We encourage the emergent innovators interested to demonstrate their solutions even at an early stage of development to submit the papers to this call. Demo papers must be up to 2 pages (with one additional page for references), not anonymized. Demo submissions need to be complemented by a document that describes technical requirements (the template can be downloaded from the website<https://avi2024.dibris.unige.it/calls/posters-demos>). The conference brings together experts who work on different levels of the cloud stack – including systems, storage, networking, platforms, databases, applications, and software engineering. IC2E offers an end-to-end view of the challenges and technologies in Cloud Computing, fosters new research that addresses the interaction between different layers of the stack, and ultimately helps shape the future of cloud-transformed business and society. IC2E 2024 invites submissions of high-quality research papers describing fully developed results and ongoing foundational and applied work related to all aspects of cloud engineering. The IC2E Program Committee will interpret “cloud engineering” very broadly – to include everything from engineering principles to practical experiences, and advances that target different levels of the cloud stack, from both academia and industry. In particular, submissions on topics of emerging interest in the research and development communities are encouraged. Authors can choose to submit their papers under either the Research and Vision or Industry and Experience Track. Novelty is a key criterion in the review process. * Vision papers describe speculative but well-reasoned and inspiring papers. The review focus is on the lessons learned, including those relevant for researchers. Ideal IUI submissions should address practical HCI challenges using machine intelligence and discuss both computational and human-centric aspects of such methodologies, techniques, and systems. We invite students who feel they would benefit from this kind of feedback—the ideal participant is a doctoral student about two years from finishing their Ph.D. We will also consider advanced Master's students and junior Ph.D. students provided their research plan is sufficiently developed to benefit from the discussion at the DC. Submissions will be selected by the DC chairs and potentially other reviewers. The strongest candidates will be those who have a clear topic and research approach and who have made some progress, but are not too far along in their research so that they can still reshape their research topic or approach. The final version of accepted Doctoral Consortium submissions will be included in the main conference proceedings published in the ACM Digital Library. The Doctoral Consortium workshop will take place as a separate session in parallel to workshops and tutorials, and DC participants will have the opportunity to present their research in the poster session during the main program. Music is one of the possible activities that can be conducted in such a space. The “Musical Metaverse”, the metaverse part which is dedicated to musical activities, is currently in its infancy, although is a concept that is constantly evolving and is progressing at a steady pace. The Musical Metaverse is an emerging topic in communications as well as in human-computer interaction. To date, scarce research has been conducted on how to integrate networking systems with Musical XR systems. The aim of the workshop is to bring together academics, artists and industry representatives to investigate and advance the development of systems at the confluence of Musical XR and networking, as well as the understanding of human perception in immersive, networked contexts. The PhD candidate should demonstrate interest in Human-Computer Interaction, Computational Interaction and Ageing & Accessibility Research. The goal of the research project is to explore new ways to design mobile interfaces adapting to individual differences among task performing abilities of older adults with stages of dementia with the aim of supporting them to live more inclusively within society.
