Antoni, you (correctly) answered to me. I have not configured the list as a discussion list, but as a distribution list, to which no one is supposed to ever write, apart from a few people.
In order to send a message to the distribution list, you need to write to <ipin-conference@isti.cnr.it>.

I created the infrastructure for a mailing list to be used for IPIN announcements. You are receiving this email through the list.
The only subscribers are the ten of us. The only ones allowed to write to the mailing list <ipin-conference@isti.cnr.it> are Toni and
me.
If Toni or me write to the mailing list <ipin-conference@isti.cnr.it> your mail should go to all of us. If any other of you does, their mail
should disappear without notice. If anyone wants to get the right to write to the list for testing just ask me and I will enable you.
Each mailing has a header, that is the text above the "THIS IS THE FIRST LINE" above, and a footer, which is the text after "THIS IS THE
LAST LINE" below.
Please let me know if everything looks okay, what you think could be changed and so on.
As for populating the mailing list, I can use the list I have used last time (November 2020) or, better, wait for Toni and Dongyan to
provide me with a more up-to-date list of addresses.
As soon as you give me the green light and I populate the mailing list, it is ready for use.
