[Hcitaly] PhD position in "Musical XR" at University of Trento, Italy

*** Apologies for cross posting *** The Creative, Intelligent & Multisensory Interactions Laboratory of University of Trento, Italy (http://www.cimil.disi.unitn.it/) welcomes expressions of interest for a fully funded PhD position in "Musical XR". The PhD activities will be conducted in the context of the MUSMET project funded by the European Innovation Council ("Musical Metaverse made in Europe: An innovation lab for musicians and audiences of the future": https://musmet.eu/). We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in XR technologies and passion for music, willing to acquire further skills in XR development and human-computer interaction. The position will be part of the vibrant academic and industrial consortium of the MUSMET project, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and mentorship from experienced researchers. Interested candidates can send their expression of interest to Prof. Luca Turchet (luca DOT turchet AT unitn DOT it) attaching a detailed CV as well as official transcripts of the list of exams and corresponding grades of both bachelor and master's degrees. The position is not yet open, but to apply it will be necessary to have achieved a master's degree by the end of October 2025 as well as to possess demonstrated English skills (e.g., via a master degree in English or via certificates such as TOEFL). The position will start on 1st of November 2025. The main workplace will be Trento, Italy, but there will be the possibility to spend various visiting research periods at the headquarters of the academic and industrial partners of the MUSMET project.
