EMUXAI 2025: Engineering Methods for HCI and UX in AI-Driven Systems
Workshop at INTERACT 2025
8 or 9 September 2025 — Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil (in-person + online)
jointly organised by IFIP WG 2.7/13.4 and WG 13.11/12.14
Overview
The integration of AI into interactive systems brings both new opportunities and challenges for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience (UX). EMUXAI 2025 invites researchers and practitioners to explore engineering methods that ensure usability, transparency, trustworthiness, and ethical alignment in AI-driven systems.
We aim to advance best practices by sharing challenges, solutions, and visions for future research at the intersection of AI, HCI, and UX.
Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to):
Explainable AI and user-centered design
UX evaluation for adaptive and generative AI systems
Usability challenges in sensitive domains (healthcare, finance, autonomous systems)
