Hello everyone,
We are excited to share that MobileHCI 2023 will be held in person (with hybrid participation) during September 26-29, 2023 in Athens, Greece.https://mobilehci.acm.org/2023/ https://mobilehci.acm.org/2023/Accepted papers will be included in the Proceedings of the ACM (PACM), and will be archived in the ACM Digital Library.Don't miss this opportunity to submit your paper to MobileHCI 2023.#Full Paper DeadlineAbstract Submission: January 20, 2023Submission: January 27, 2023Notifications: March 13, 2023Revised Submission: May 5, 2023Final Notifications: June 2, 2023Camera-Ready: June 16, 2023The theme for MobileHCI’23 is “Beyond morality: Ethics and action in MobileHCI”. We invite all authors to especially consider and discuss ethical aspects in their work, as part of their problem definitions, system design, experiment design, instrument and metric adoption, and conclusions and generalizations of research findings. It is also a friendly nudge encouraging us to rethink "mobile" in MobileHCI. Our suggested topics include, but are not limited to:Systems and InfrastructureThe design, architecture, deployment, and evaluation of systems and infrastructures that support the development of or interaction with mobile devices and services.Devices and TechniquesThe design, construction, usage, and evaluation of devices and techniques that create valuable new capabilities for mobile human-computer interaction.Applications and ExperiencesDescriptions of the design, empirical study of interactive applications, or analysis of usage trends that leverage mobile devices and systems.MobileHCI for Social GoodUsing mobile HCI to address societal challenges of our times such as health care, mobility, sustainability, social engagement, and civic engagement. Methods and ToolsNew methods and tools designed for or applied to studying or building mobile user interfaces, applications, and mobile users.Theories and ModelsCritical analysis or organizing theory with clearly motivated relevance to the design or study of mobile human-computer interaction; taxonomies of design or devices; well-supported essays on emerging trends and practice in mobile human-computer interaction.Provocations and New PerspectivesWell-argued and well-supported visions of the future of mobile computing; non-traditional topics that bear on mobility; underrepresented viewpoints and perspectives that convincingly bring something new to mobile research and practice. If you have any inquiries, please feel free to send email to the organizing committee (https://mobilehci.acm.org/2023/committee.php https://mobilehci.acm.org/2023/committee.php)We hope to see you next year in Athens!
