The SIGCHI Development Fund Committee awards a grant to support Student participation to AVI 2024.

Preference in financial support will be given to students presenting at the Doctoral Consortium and to students who are first authors and will present the paper at the conference. Moreover, preference will be given to students from economically developing countries and underrepresented groups in HCI research and computer science. 

The goal is to attract new young researchers in HCI and visual interfaces and enlarge AVI and SIGCHI community. 

- Deadline for travel grant application: March 31, 2024 (23:59, AoE)

- Deadline for Doctoral Consortium paper submission: March 15, 2024 (23:59, AoE)

- Posters and Demo papers:  March 8, 2024 (23:59, AoE)

Students will be required to submit an application for funding, including their expected costs, information about the paper(s) submitted for the conference, and a letter of recommendation from their advisor. 

The selected students may also be requested to volunteer at the conference.
