We are looking for candidates for one three-year PhD scholarship that will be carried out at the at the Human Interfaces in Information Systems (HIIS) Laboratory at CNR-ISTI The fellowship is associated with the PhD school at the Computer Science department of the University of Pisa in the area of Human Control in Daily Environment Automations for Sustainability. The specific PhD topic will be defined taking into account the background and the interests of the candidate. The HIIS Laboratory is a creative and multi-disciplinary interactive technologies research laboratory, with deep and extensive research collaborations, at national and international level, industrial partners, and a supportive and inclusive working environment. Pisa is a lively small town located in Tuscany, near the coast, characterised by the presence of a rich research ecosystem (three Universities and many research centres) very active in the ICT area. We are therefore looking for deserving candidates. It is useful to have some programming knowledge, interest and passion for the considered topics, and to carry out research activities. We encourage submissions describing various types of research, including empirical, theoretical, and tool-oriented studies. TOPICS OF INTEREST The topics of the submissions should be of direct interest to the software analysis, evolution, and reengineering community (including researchers, practitioners, educators). The best papers from the conference will be awarded. CALL FOR WORKSHOPS In SANER 2026, we solicit proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the main conference. Workshops can be full or half-day and should highlight a specific topic of interest related to software analysis, evolution, and reengineering. We encourage workshop organizers to include activities that provide their participants with a true workshop experience. All workshops will tentatively be scheduled for the first day of the conference (March 17, 2026), the day before the main conference. These tutorials aim to expand the community’s understanding of advanced software engineering topics, valuable tools and technologies, as well as research methodologies. We are soliciting abstracts with the intention of presenting a tutorial in the following categories: 1 - Technical Tutorial: Speakers present the use of a tool or technology that aids the developers in Software Analysis, Evolution, and Reengineering. 2 - Research problem: Speakers provide a general view of the state-of-the-art for a topic related to Software Analysis, Evolution, and Reengineering and further present details of a specific research problem that still needs to be addressed by the community. But its impact runs deeper — all the way to women’s reproductive systems, as shown by the data analysis of over 2 million menstrual cycles. A groundbreaking new study, Dust Bloom [http://senseable.mit.edu/dust-bloom], reveals a previously underexplored connection: long-term exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is associated with irregular menstrual cycles — a key indicator of women’s overall health. The integration of AI in our daily lives can provide substantial support in many contexts, ranging from medicine to education, improving the performance of both sides in terms of knowledge and resources. Although the traditional approach in creating AI systems focuses on the functionalities and high performance of their models, modern society is witnessing a shift from mere automation to augmentation and collaboration, where AI and humans enhance and learn from each other. A step forward in this direction is enabling humans and AI to work symbiotically together. Symbiosis can be described as a consequence of the human-AI partnership, where human intelligence serves to improve AI systems, and vice versa, through a bidirectional relationship of mutual exchange. This workshop aims to explore how humans and AI systems can effectively collaborate, learn from each other, and co-adapt symbiotically. Through discussions and the exchange of perspectives, the workshop has the goal of investigating the key components of the interaction between the two parties. [MUC 2025] Call for Short Paper ACs

The Short Papers track at the “Mensch und Computer” (MuC) conference is looking for ACs (Associate Chairs). Volunteering to serve as an AC holds distinct potential to shape the future of our field. We believe that the Short Papers track provides particular opportunities for junior peers in our research community to gain some experience in managing the peer reviewing process. Hence, we invite motivated PhD students and early-career researchers with first reviewing experience to volunteer as ACs. If you can think of any students or colleagues who might benefit from this opportunity, please consider forwarding this invitation to them. As an AC, you would: * lead the review process for 3-5 short papers (max. 6 pages) * assign two external reviewers to each paper * moderate a discussion between the reviewers * provide a meta-review including a recommendation for the paper Everything to do with the reviewing process will be done virtually in the time period from early June until early July. The 19th European Conference on Software Architecture (ECSA 2025) will be held from September 15 to 19, 2025. ECSA 2025 is planned as an in-person conference taking place in the beautiful city of Limassol (Cyprus). ECSA 2025 enriches its partnership with more journals and opportunities than ever before, to incorporate journal-first papers into its program. The journals are: - Journal of Systems and Software (JSS) - IEEE Software - Information & Software Technology (IST) - Transaction on Software Engineering (TSE) We invite authors of journal papers accepted by JSS, IEEE Software, IST, or TSE since December 1, 2023 to submit their work for presentation at ECSA 2025, which will allow authors of journal-first papers to present their work to the community. SCOPE A journal-first paper submitted to ECSA 2025 must adhere to the following criteria: • The paper must have been accepted after peer review by one between JSS, IEEE Software, IST or TSE. • The paper is in the scope of the conference. • The paper has not been presented at and is not under consideration for journal-first programs of other conferences. Accepted submissions will be invited to present at the conference. The track chairs will write a summary of the accepted submissions that will be included in the conference proceedings.
